Responsibilities
• Lead and develop payroll team members• Process both weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles• Improve payroll process and reduce turn-around time• Monitor payment of payroll taxes and ensure compliance• Produce internal and external payroll reporting• Collaborate with Manager of Tax and Compliance for audits and tax filings• Manage payroll projects and system enhancements• Prepare annual W-2 and related tax filings• Serve as payroll liaison and resolve any issues• Stay informed of current legislation and market trends affecting payroll
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience• 8+ years of payroll experience with supervisory or management position• Experience in a multi-state, high-volume, fast-paced payroll environment• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and regulations• Experience with UKG Pro HRIS system preferred• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills• Project management experience• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Key Skills Needed
• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and regulations affecting payroll and PTO• Extensive knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably with UKG Pro• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and organization and planning skills• Project management experience leading implementations• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
