Payroll Analyst
The successful candidate will be kind, detail-oriented, hard-working, and technologically
proficient. This position is responsible for assisting in processing payroll on a weekly basis for
approximately 600 employees. In addition to payroll duties this position will also aid other
areas of accounting, as available, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts
receivable, and month end reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the processing of weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Calculate and enter deductions, credits, and adjustments related to payroll.
- Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of data.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare reports for management regarding payroll expenses, trends, and analysis.
- Assist with other areas in accounting as needed.
Skills:
- Proficient in Data Entry
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles.
- Familiarity with cost accounting a plus.
- Experience with account reconciliation and bookkeeping.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in using payroll software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Ability to prepare journal entries for payroll-related transactions.
- Experience in Ceridian Dayforce a plus.
