Payroll Specialist
Hybrid- Duluth, GA
Temp to perm possibly Direct Hire
$75,000-$80,000

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Duties:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports
- Analyze payroll data, including taxes and deductions
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll issues or concerns
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data
- Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or processes
- Perform data entry tasks related to payroll

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Proficiency in UKG software
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of payroll procedures and regulations
- Familiarity with financial concepts, tax laws, and human resources best practices
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, including debits and credits
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll
- Experience with journal entries and reconciliations
