MedBridge Healthcare is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy. We partner with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully-integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders. This is NOT A REMOTE role, it is located at Frederick Health Hospital for Patient Services Representative - Position is required to go into the office 5 days a week. This is an ONSITE role. To be considered, you must live within the Frederick, MD area.
Responsibilities will include: Answering calls on a constant basis Performing patient intake and scheduling tasks Obtaining patient demographic information and insurance details Accurately-entering demographic and insurance data into Electronic Medical Records system Answering patient questions, inquiries, and concerns regarding accounts Assisting with screening calls and taking messages Completing insurance verifications and authorizations for studies in a timely and accurate manner Ensuring insurance coverage meets necessary requirements for scheduled services Communicating with referral sources to obtain additional information needed for scheduling and/or to update on patient scheduling statuses Performing other duties as required or assigned Job Requirements: High school diploma required; some college preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, data entry, and insurance verification Excellent customer service Experience with Epic Ability to work well under pressure Ability to multi-task between several projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to recognize information types and direct information to appropriate healthcare providers Ability to work within a team environment Adequate computer skills Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment abilities Use of hands to operate office equipment Work Location: Physically located at the hospital - Not remote and/or Hybrid Benefits: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off 401k with company match Other Our Interview process will consist of a phone interview with our HR Department, followed by a video interview with the hiring manager.
