Northeast Family Services is looking for a Patient Financial Services (PFS) Representative to join our growing team! The Patient Financial Services Representative will work directly with our clients to provide education and support around their financial responsibilities at Northeast Family Services (and growing) facilities across New York, Rhode Island, Illinois, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Responsibilities: Advises and counsels scheduled clients of financial responsibility. Provides cost estimate explanations and communicates insurance benefits.  Provide client statements.  Gathers documentation and assists in the completion of the financial assistance application process.  Assists clients in resolving medical bills; advises and counsels clients of their payment responsibility due to services rendered under NFS.  Establishes pro-rated financial obligations and sets-up payment arrangements/contracts.  Follows up on scheduled payments via mail and telephone.  Resolves client concerns or disputes regarding their bill.  Apply client payments to outstanding balances.  Reviews and follows up on past due accounts.  Reports directly to the Billing Manager. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience Working knowledge of health care environments, clinical terminology, and health information systems  Familiarity with commercial payers and patient liability Payment posting experience  Extremely detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills  Ability to keep confidential medical records Flexible, adaptive, punctual, and highly reliable  Benefits: Health, dental & vision 3 weeks paid vacation 11 Paid holidays (including Juneteenth, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and NY Eve.)
