Responsibilities
• Conduct registration and point of service collections• Obtain authorizations and forms for reimbursement• Verify insurance benefits and collect patient responsibility• Provide financial counseling to patients• Act as a liaison between patient, billing department, and payor• Communicate with physicians and hospital staff• Complete daily assignments and keep productivity log• Perform various patient and financial services tasks• Work independently and prioritize tasks• Interact with patients, physician offices, and third party payors
Requirements
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent knowledge• 1+ years of patient financial services or insurance industry experience• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently• Familiarity with common office software• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (for Banner Behavioral Health Hospital employees)• Previous cash collections experience preferred
