This role will function as a Patient Care Technician under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to assist in the preparation of all components used in the management and routine follow-up of home infusion patients and specialty pharmacy patients. This is an on-site, full-time position with an anticipated work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (no weekends). No travel is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist pharmacist with patient follow-up related to refills, IV catheter care, inhalation, inotropes, specialty medication, MEDI-pack and other therapies. Assist in medication/flush order entry. Coordinate prior insurance authorizations and payment arrangements. Coordinate equipment maintenance, pick-up and returns.Assist in prep room staging and inventory management. Manage delivery tickets.Collaborate with Compliance on related accreditations, audits, testing, reporting etc.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required. A current, unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the state of practice, and pharmacy technician certification required.
Experience: Two years' experience in a pharmacy setting preferred. Home Infusion pharmacy experience required. Prior managerial experience a plus. Must be proficient in computer skills, including MS Office.
