Under the guidance of the lead Operator Trainer, this role is responsible for conducting OSHA-compliant training related to the safe operation of aerial platforms, telehandlers, industrial forklifts, skid steer loaders, track loaders, and mini excavators for both internal and external customers.What will I be doing in this role?Provide heavy equipment operator training to both internal and external customers on the proper and safe operation of equipment and provide them certification on the following pieces of equipment:Aerial Work Platforms, Industrial Forklifts, Skid Steer Loaders, Track Loaders, Mini Excavators, and Telehandlers.You will facilitate operational training and certification using both classroom and hands-on operational learning.This may include off-site training at a customer's job site or on-site training at a Leppo facility.Administrative tasks to include but not limited to:Documenting and maintaining accurate records (both physical and digital) of all training materials about training and certification for all coworkers and customers.Printing and distribution of certification cards to coworkers and customers.Creating and maintaining training material, ensuring all information stays up to date.Administering re-certification testing to coworkers, maintaining logs, pricing and billing related to training, and more.Coaches and trains Leppo coworkers on safety and best practices of our businessMaintain a clear understanding of current regulatory requirements, and be able to explain requirements when necessaryGrow customer base to drive business and continue meeting department goals.Performs other duties and tasks not listed as requested based on department/business needs.What do I need to be able to do this role?Schedule FlexibilityHours and days worked for this role can vary based on business needs.Need to be willing to work anywhere from a minimum of two days a week up to 5 days a week based on department needs.Ability to commit to initial "Train the Trainer" required training which consists of overnight travel up to a week in length.Department needs can shift quickly, so having the ability to be present as needed is necessary.Local travel is necessary (locations across NEO) as well as overnight travel when needed.Overnight stays can be required.
