Swann Clinic is hiring for behavior technicians and credentialed RBTs. Swann Clinic for Behavioral Health is a multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Center of Excellence applied behavior analysis (ABA) clinic on the Western Slope committed to children with autism and developmental disabilities and their families. If you are interested in paraprofessional work, teaching, psychology, counseling, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or any social work related fields, this is a great position for you. In fact, a psychologist specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders is the owner of the clinic and has hired from within for internship opportunities. Previous work as a paraprofessional or special needs clinician, babysitting/nannying, preschool and school work, or align well with our goals and mission. Skills learned in this field can enhance your overall ability to work with children in a variety of settings. As a behavior technician, you will be working as a paraprofessional and behavior therapist in the field of behavior analysis. You will collaborate with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide ABA services to children in a clinical setting. You will be responsible for teaching and documenting a variety of skills under the direction of the BCBA. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with families and support them while they watch their children flourish and gain new skills and experiences. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Clean background check At least 18 year of age Current RBT credential or willing to obtain once hired Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred but not required Skill with iPads and technology Ability to interact well with children Proficient writing and communication skills Strong organizational skills Must demonstrate flexibility and creativity as time management skills Ability to work well independently and with others Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time (30 minutes or more) Ability to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time COVID-19 vaccine is required given the vulnerability of our population. *Great position for students who are in school for education, preschool and daycare teachers, students interested in psychology or social work, and other related fields. This means we deliver applied behavioral analysis therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and individual mental health counseling to neurodiverse children ages 1-7. Neurodiversity includes diagnoses such as global developmental delays, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and learning disorders. Ours is a trauma informed model with assent based practices. This means, we respect the boundaries and feelings of our learners, honor their ability to say no or not engage, allow them to fully be themselves, and only teach skills their parents agree to that honor their uniqueness. Our learners grow through play-based interventions, which helps them develop valuable skills they can use later in school and life. Our learners engage in crafts, circle time, quiet time, group lunches, music and movement, and other special activities together. Swann Clinic is a Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE). We have bi-weekly trainings to better hone our skills and teach our team valuable lessons about ABA and other disciplines. Our clinic is open 8-4, Monday through Friday. No weekends are required. Work outside of work hours is highly discouraged. We have the week of the 4th of July and Christmas off. Memorial day and Labor day are also days off. MLK, Juneteenth, and Native American Heritage Day are paid days off.
