Paralegal (Bilingual Spanish)
• Conduct interviews with potential clients regarding asbestos/silicosis cases, workers' compensation, and civil litigation.
• Draft memoranda based on client interviews.
• Review and summarize various documents such as employment, social security, business, and property records.
• Analyze depositions for relevant information and corroborate facts for future use.
• Perform internet research on defendants and job sites.
• Locate contact information for potential witnesses.
• Assess the viability of co-workers as witnesses for cases.
• Prepare memoranda describing interviews with witnesses.
• Assist in drafting declarations for defendants.
• Conduct document productions and meetings with clients or potential witnesses.
• Direct paralegals in updating work history and databases.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Complete tasks assigned by supervisors and attorneys.
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is a MUST
• 3-5 years of related experience in research, investigations, or construction trades.
