This full-time position reports directly to the Firm Administrator and will work closely with our attorneys to provide essential support in various legal matters.

Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, excellent research abilities and passion for the legal field?
As our ideal candidate, you possess a solid background in legal research, combined with extensive experience drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal documents. You will embrace new technology and have a commitment to excellent client service that will help meet our goal of consistently exceeding client expectations. You will thrive in a dynamic, small office environment in downtown Houston, where you will be able to work a hybrid schedule (one day remote per week) following the completion of a successful 90-day onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities Conduct legal research on case law, statues, regulations, and other legal resources.
Draft, proofread and format legal documents.
Organize and maintain case files, documents, and correspondence.
Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments.
Communicate regularly with clients.
Perform administrative tasks such as billing, time entry, and expense tracking.
Communicate staffing status updates, milestones, and risks to key stakeholders.
Foster positive relationships and collaborate with attorneys, leadership, and business support.
Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, law or related field OR Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
4+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or legal department.
Experience drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal documents. Note: we may ask you to draft a case summary as part of the interview process.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, analyze, organize, attend to detail, and follow through.
Commitment to excellent client service.
Software Application Experience Proficiency in MS Office suite applications, specifically MS Excel and Outlook.
Experience with legal research tools.
