Title: Paint Engineering Lead - 107034 Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Paint Engineering Lead for the John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA you will lead the project of updating the paint robots in the robotic paint system. This includes:
Ownership of the entire project, including: Overall project plan Creation of timeline – the project would extend over multiple years and may need to be orchestrated in phases Managing the project budget Working with all product lines to minimize impact to production Coordinating multiple functional area resources: (including training plan for all) : facilities, maintenance, production areas, environmental, maintenance and the robot supplier It will also include programming ABB paint robots and working with offline robotstudio suite In addition to leading the paint robot update project, you will:
Plan ongoing Paint Robot Program Strategy, Execution and Documentation Continued robot programming & maintenance Be responsible for PDP planning & virtual programming expectation Update robot programs for production updates/changes Investigate other automation opportunities in paint Support and plan for both robotic and manual paint system Continue to focus on opportunities for environmental footprint reduction Be responsible for quality engineering and paint ME Work on streamlining quality data and dashboard development Aid in workforce planning Collaborate with other department and shift team leads, engineering, maintenance, and support staff Aid in setting department budgets and on-going monitoring What Skills You Need An effective leader who thrives on solving problems in a fast paced environment Experience leading large operations projects Strong interpersonal & communication skills Quality Improvement Experience Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends based on business needs What Makes You Stand Out Prior knowledge or experience with paint systems Robot Programming Experience Experience with Dubuque products Experience working within a union environment Working knowledge of the CI(continuous improvement) process and 5S methodology Experience with an incentive pay system such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan Experience with capacity and manpower planning Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
