Chipton-Ross is seeking a Packaging Technician 1 for a contract opportunity in Mount Prospect, IL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Labels, assembles and packages pharmaceutical products.
o Performs manual or automated filling and packaging of blistered and bottled pharmaceutical products.
o Accurately counts and prepares packaging components to ensure accurate accountabilities prior to and at the completion of a job order.
o Ensures quality and productivity requirements are met.
o Cleans packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Principles (cGMPs).
o Applies Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) in all areas of responsibility, including following regulations and activities in a safe and efficient manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
o Must have basic computer skills.
o This position requires hand-eye coordination, manual and finger dexterity, attention to detail, the ability to perform repetitive tasks, and ability to learn new tasks with assistance from supervisors and fellow employees.
o Must be able to meet physical requirements stated in the Essential Job Functions with little or no exceptions or assistance.
o Must meet vision requirements for this position (i.e. color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus)
o Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Certification, including but not limited to filtering face masks, PAPR, N- 95 masks, half face masks and safety glasses is required for this position.
o Must be able and willing to work in cold environments.

o Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.
o Cleans packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Principles (cGMPs).
o Performs manual or automated assembly, filling, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical products. Ensures adherence to specifications and the highest quality standards.
o Accepts or rejects in-process clinical supplies and drug products according to acceptability standards determined by Good Manufacturing Principles, customer requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures.
o Works with other departments to perform in-process inspections and other necessary tasks.
o Performs counts of incoming and completed components and drug product to ensure accuracy and accountability.
o Performs tasks that may be verified by an independent individual or may perform inspection/verifications of work performed by others.
o Uses stationary and/or hand-held machinery in multiple operations.
o Must be able to work in both primary and secondary rooms.
o Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
o Some weekday, weekend and holiday overtime may be required.
EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time - 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday, 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM
