DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Initiating contact with referred Customers and encouraging them to engage with the Provider and participate in mandated work activities Actively share information about outreach and engagement efforts with Case Managers Inform Case Managers of any barriers identified that routinely prevent the Customer from engaging fully with the Provider Utilize the outreach tactics in the following order: 1) Telephone Call; 2) Letter; and a 3) Home Visit All outreach attempts and interactions with each Customer shall be documented in case notes Answering incoming calls and connecting to appropriate team members Use community resources along with internal resources to mitigate barriers job seekers face Supports programming by connecting customers to internal and external opportunities through various mediums including phone calls, text message, emails, mailed letters, etc. As assigned, facilitate orientations and other routine workshops that help customers navigate and participate in programming Performs other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Education: Associate degree required, or 5 years of experience providing customer outreach services in lieu of the education requirement Must be able to listen intently and direct customers to resources Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Possess a strong desire to help people Excellent organizational skills Excellent customer service skills Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse families Possesses good investigative skills using all available tools, such as social media, reverse phone look-up, etc.; highly skilled in using the internet for search purposes. Ability to work well independently Demonstrated ability to work in a team approach Excellent communication skills, ability to explain the TANF program to customers Displays empathy, cultural understanding, and the ability to establish rapport Ability to speak fluent Spanish a plus Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and collaborate. PAY $40K - $45K HOURS OF OPERATION
Mon. – Fri. 8:30am – 5pm
