An Optometric Technician is a valuable asset to an optometrist as they assist in providing a world class Total Patient Experience.They handle a wide range of duties using optical equipment to perform initial testing for patient exams with an optometrist.

Responsibilities
• Embrace and execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients and provide medical support.• Display a professional attitude, greet patients with a smile, and thank them when they leave.• Comply with company policies and HIPAA procedures.• Practice urgency with patient and doctor schedules.• Operate optical equipment for testing and follow scripting for testing equipment.• Clean examination equipment and set phoropter to patient RX.• Interact with employees in a courteous and professional manner.• Assist with general office duties and cleaning as needed.• Desire to gain industry knowledge and training.• Demonstrate initiative and create a positive work environment.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED, or one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Basic computer skills.• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information.• Favorable result on Background Check.• Must have own vehicle and be insured, licensed driver.• Must be at least 18 years of age.
