Essential Duties Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control ( CNC ) machine (Lathe & Mill). Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reviewing and understanding 3D CAD blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job orders. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications. Set machines to complete full cycles to machine a single or large number of parts. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. Provide training to new operators as necessary. Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture. Other duties as assigned Safety Develop relationships with coworkers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety.  Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas. Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy. Experience Required High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Associate degree in CNC programming, in computer-related field or mechanical field, or CNC certification from an accredited technical school preferred.
