Dohrn is currently seeking a Part TIme Operations Supervisor for our Evansville, IN Terminal! Pay is $25-$30/hour!! Shift Details: Monday - Friday - Afternoon / Evenings from 4:00PM to 9:00PM ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provide training, supervision, feedback, and discipline for hourly Operations team members Route City operationManage the daily performance of the City Pickup and Delivery Operation for optimal safety, performance, on-time Service, cost control, and claims preventionEnsure On-time Delivery service in accordance with the organizational goals by ensuring pick-ups and deliveries are made timely, efficiently, and returns are kept to a minimumMonitor Line Haul operationMonitor Dock performance and efficiency and adjust manpower as neededSolve problems regarding lost and missing freightCommunicate efficiently with other departments to ensure a successful operation Work in a safe and professional manner so as to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employeesReport all facility problems to the Facility Maintenance DepartmentComply with federal, state, and company regulations Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the jobWork in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all timesPerform other duties as needed MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSA minimum age of 18High School completion or equivalentValid Driver License Supervisory experience requiredAbility to work any shift Must have the knowledge and ability to perform all Operations jobs in the Terminal including Dock, Dispatch, Warehouse, and RoutingExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong leadership skillsDetail-oriented, organizedMust meet all physical requirementsMust have certification in forklift safety and hazardous material handlingAbility to multi-task and react to change productivelyExcellent attendanceWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSVisual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitorLifting various types of materials will be required: cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, bars, rugs, etcCommon material handling tools will be used: forklifts, carts, dollies, banding machines, shrink wrap tubes, pallet jacks, and tow motorsStanding, walking, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, carrying, bending at the waist, reaching, and lifting both above and below waist level will be requiredMust be physically capable of operating a forklift, pallet jack, load lock and two-wheel handcartWill be required to lift up, set down, slide or move weight unassisted that could exceed 80 poundsMust be able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and 100+ lbs. on an infrequent basisMust be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time Must have the ability to safely enter and exit trailers, vans, flatbeds, forklifts and tractors Must have the ability to work around and operate motorized equipmentMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job as specified in the job descriptionMay be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures and dusty conditions in the dock environment; must be able to perform essential functions in these conditionsTo navigate to the Dohrn Transfer Career Center and apply for this position, please go to dohrntransfer.balancetrak.comand select the Evansville, IN location.
