Job Description: As an Operations Research Scientist in our team, you will play a pivotal role in refining and enhancing various facets of supply chain operations. Leveraging advanced analytical methodologies, mathematical modeling, and adept problem-solving prowess, you will collaborate closely with clients spanning diverse sectors such as Retail, CPG, and Industrial. Your primary responsibility will involve crafting decision-making tools and bolstering operational efficiencies across the board.
Key Responsibilities: Mathematical Modeling: Design and deploy intricate mathematical models and algorithms to tackle complex operational challenges. Multi-objective Optimization: Navigate supply chain complexities by adeptly balancing multiple competing objectives, factoring in cost, service levels, and sustainability. Metaheuristics Algorithms: Showcase proficiency in devising and executing metaheuristics algorithms like genetic algorithms, simulated annealing, tabu search, and particle swarm optimization to tackle intricate supply chain optimization puzzles. Supply Chain Modeling: Demonstrate expertise in sculpting supply chain networks, encompassing inventory management, demand projection, production scheduling, and logistics, employing mathematical and optimization paradigms. Domain Knowledge: Possess a profound comprehension of industry-specific supply chain hurdles and best practices, particularly within the retail landscape. Cross-functional Collaboration: Exhibit strong collaborative aptitude to liaise effectively with supply chain, logistics, procurement, and operations teams in implementing optimization solutions. Optimization Software: Utilize specialized optimization software tools such as Gurobi, CPLEX, Google OR-Tools, Pyomo, PuLP, and Lingo to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Model Validation: Employ rigorous validation techniques to refine models, ensuring their accuracy and reliability in real-world scenarios. Qualifications: Hold a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
