Job Description This position responsible for the management of projects and drive for outcomes that support the overall long-range plan ensuring the business continues to be competitive and meets all required cost, compliance and customer service needs and commitments over this horizon. The project manager works independently with business partners to draft, negotiate, and implement projects that maximize value and deliver results while monitoring and controlling time, scope, resource, and cost. Manages several large and complex projects. Able to identify opportunities for improvement of manufacturing and business processes as part of project impact and benefit.
Responsibilities:
Create comprehensive project plans, budgets, objectives, strategies, and deliverables. Develops project charter, project plan, conducts risk assessments, and develops and implements contingency plans to accommodate unforeseen events and changes in strategy and project execution. May manage new product launches to ensure all filling and launch targets are met. Translate project plan into measurable actions while executing against functional procedures and processes. Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, functional systems, ethics policies and project goals. Manage stakeholder engagement while using effective communication. Build and present periodic updates to management on project status and progress. Prepare and present written and oral reports and other presentations to internal and external audiences, including senior level management. Recommends innovative ways to improve performance, quality, and enhance profitability on an ongoing basis; anticipates roadblock and elevate when appropriate. May be responsible for indirect and/or direct management of contract coordinator and/or associated project management staff including capacity management, resource allocation, quality deliverables, and escalation of issues to management when needed. Must be flexible to handle multiple projects including ability to handle pressure in a professional and positive manner; Effectively works in a team environment; Maintains high level of energy and professionalism on the job; Builds effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, cross-functioned groups, and management. Strong capacity management and organizational skills. Demonstrated team player and ability to work in a globally oriented work environment. Uses discretion and works under general supervision; Follows established procedures. Decisions are reviewed for soundness of judgment. Independently decides when to make minor adaptations or modifications. Significant Work Activities -Continuous walking for prolonged periods (more than 2 hours at a time in an 8 hour day) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, science, or technical related field. MBA degree and/or PMP certification is preferred. 5-10 years of experience in areas such as supply chain, customer service, manufacturing, engineering, and project management. Broad business perspective, knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes. Strong project experience and an ability to influence others are essential. Strong Strategy development and planning skills coupled with necessary knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply activities. Strong issue identification and problem analysis and solution development skills. Proficiency with common program management communication software tools and techniques Knowledge of business financial systems and tools. Collaborative approach in working with different teams and stakeholders in a globally oriented work environment. Proven leadership ability with excellent communication skills including listening, verbal presentation and written.
