Summary This program is designed to educate participants on potatoes and manufacturing processes within our Food Division and prepare you to take on a management role with Simplot. As a Management Trainee, you will learn about all processes involved to produce quality potato products by participating in the actual processes. This includes various agronomic principles, processing techniques, quality and food safety specifications, packaging, logistics and storage management. The intent of this program is to give the Management Trainee the basic skill set to be successful in the Food Group supply chain and Company operations.
Key Responsibilities Alongside Simplot mentors, spend a minimum of 12 months learning through hands-on and classroom experiences. Spend time in the field and factories partnering with and learning from the most knowledgeable people in potato production. Complete specific job duties and projects while working with many different people and positions to gain understanding of various jobs in potato processing. Get exposure to the manufacturing process of producing French Fries and other potato products. Typical Education Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Other Information Interest and experience in agriculture or manufacturing.
Shift: Must be open to working both day (6am - 6pm) and night shift (6pm - 6am), as the schedule will rotate.
