The incumbent provides extensive knowledge of Florida tax laws for registration purposes and conducts in-depth research and analysis of tax information filed with the Department. The incumbent is also responsible for researching and evaluating tax documents and information that has been submitted for registration purposes to determine the correct distribution of funds, communicating with taxpayers and their representatives, as well as, service centers and other agency personnel, and resolving account maintenance issues.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue. Experience as a Revenue Specialist III or higher within the Account Management, Specialty Unit. Experience communicating with taxpayers to explain and interpret tax related issues. PREFERENCES: Experience processing Motor Fuel and Secondhand Dealer tasks in Account Management.SPECIAL NOTES: The successful candidate will be required to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
