THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARY AND EXPECTED TO LAST NO LONGER THAN  9 MONTHS ***This position is able to work full or part-time hours*** NOTE: This announcement may be used to fill multiple openings. The  Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) oversees and operates  Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program),  Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), and other state public health programs for qualified Coloradans. We are onboarding new employees using a hybrid approach. The Department supports flexible work arrangements. Depending on the business need and description of the position, we have options that range from fully remote, hybrid, to full-time in the office. Specific discussions about the schedule will be discussed during the offer stage.  What you'll be doing: Join the Payment Reform Division in the Finance Office to lead the Colorado Medicaid Payment Reform initiatives. Work under supervision to provide support for various payment reform programs, including, but not limited to Alternative Payment Model 1 (APM1), Alternative Payment Model 2 (APM2), Maternity APMs, Prescriber Tool APM, Provider of Distinction, Hospital Index, and Payment Alternatives for Colorado Kids (PACK). Under supervision the position will support each project lead on activities or tasks that include but not limited to stakeholder engagement, rate setting, program documentation update, meeting scheduling and notetaking, researching and reporting. Work under supervision to provide operational and administrative support for the Payment Reform Division, including but not limited to standardized work documentation, project tracking, budget tracking, contract management and team building activities. Work under supervision to support new programs or initiatives that are approved for development including vendor research, RFP development, stakeholder engagement, scheduling and coordinating stakeholder communications internally and externally for the multi-payer APM under development. Under supervision the position will track outreach to external stakeholders, attend meetings, take notes and capture action items. Residency Requirement:  This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application. 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:  Completed or currently enrolled in BA or MA programs in economics, public health, public administration, public policy, etc

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience related to the duties of this position
Experience in stakeholder engagement, program coordination, and contact management 
Data Query and analytic skills such as SQL, Tableau, Excel, etc.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT All positions at HCPF are security sensitive positions and require that the individuals undergo a criminal record background check as a condition of employment.

Comparative Analysis Process The comparative analysis process will consist primarily of a review of applications against the minimum and preferred qualifications of this position. Applications will be reviewed in comparison to all others in the applicant pool in order to identify a top group of candidates who may be invited for a final interview. Depending on the size of the applicant pool, additional selection processes may be utilized to identify a top group of candidates. Applicants will be notified of their status via email.
