Full job description About Us: Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency, Inc. (NEMCSA) is a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency, whose Mission is to provide quality programs and services to strengthen and enhance the self-sufficiency of individuals, families and communities through the best use of human and financial resources, focusing on those who are experiencing an economic hardship.
What You'll Do: Virtual onboarding of new hires to include setting up teams' meetings, and monitoring onboarding process. Maintain electronic and paper personnel files to include filing paperwork, verifying paper submission for audits and monitoring, and making any requested updates to the system to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Perform electronic and paper file maintenance by constantly monitoring files and removing aged files for warehouse storage. Enter all data including Performance Evaluations, discipline, job descriptions, physicals and education into databases as requested. Attend and participate in assigned agency committee meetings as a representative of the Human Resources Department. Copy, fold and stuff mailings and perform other clerical duties as assigned in the Human Resources Department. Assist HR Benefit Coordinator with ACA tracking. Learn databases including basic reporting and design. Configure forms in fill-in-the-blank format as requested. Responsible for answering and directing agency phone calls when needed. Assist the Human Resources Department with various research and special projects. Maintain knowledge of agency Employee Handbook. Attending staff meetings and training courses as requested. What We'll Love About You: A high school diploma, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite proficiency and 1 year experience, including data processing, office machines, keyboarding, organizational and attention to detail skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere, focus, multitask and communicate well is required. Associates in Business, HR, or related field preferred. Database knowledge is preferred.
