Job summary
The Personal Care Aide provides nonmedical assistance to individuals in their homes or facilities who need help with daily activities due to age, sickness, disability, or other conditions.Responsibilities include housecleaning, meal preparation, transportation, companion care, and respite.Ensuring services are delivered in a caring and respectful manner according to policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
• Follow CareBuilders at Home policies and procedures.• Perform observation of the home environment to ensure client safety.• Assist with light household chores, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.• Aid in completing activities such as shopping and appointments.• Provide companionship and stimulate the mind through social interaction and activities.• Assist with activities of daily living and personal service as included in the service plan.• Complete appropriate service notes and notify supervisor of any changes or issues.• Communicate with the home care team and follow infection control procedures.• Perform other assigned tasks and duties within the scope of agency services.
Requirements
• High School, GED or equivalent education.• Personal care course and training meeting state requirements.• State registration or certification as required by law.• Six months of personal care aide experience in the last 3 years or similar experience.• Initial and annual tuberculosis screening, drug screening, and background check.• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance if driving clients or on their behalf.• Possible exposure to blood or other infectious materials.
