Full job description Job Summary Blanket Fort Hope is a Christ-centered, Alabama-based advocate that is positioned to bring restoration to child survivors of human trafficking. Our focus is on providing therapeutic housing & support services, foster-care training, and ongoing advocacy and education in our communities.
The Advancement Officer position works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to develop and implement well-defined fundraising and marketing strategies for the financial success of the organization. The AO is responsible for working alongside the CEO to build and maintain public visibility and the positive reputation of Blanket Fort Hope. The position is responsible for planning and implementing strategies and actions to build and sustain positive public awareness of the organization and its programs and activities through all forms of media outlets, networking, and public speaking. The AO is responsible for working alongside the CEO to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising program that includes special events, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, and special campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES Development: Primary responsibility for all fundraising activities and constituent communications Implements long and short-term plans for marketing and development activities with measurable goals Works closely with CEO to develop donors, participates in donor identification, cultivation, and solicitation efforts, providing special attention to donor acquisition and renewal Ensures accurate data entry in donor records to cultivate, thank, track, and build strong relationships with prospective donors, as well as for reporting purposes Report progress for active major gift prospects on a quarterly basis Manages and guides the goal setting, planning, coordination, and evaluation of all development special events Marketing/Organizational: Creates and initiates marketing methods across a variety of platforms that provide the best results for Blanket Fort Hope Ensures all print materials are up to date and distributed to the correct audiences Assists with preparing the annual operating budget and developing projections for contributed income and expenses for development Provides oversight in the development of the Junior Board Qualifications and Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Four-year degree in Marketing, Communications, or field that applies to this position or related experience. Experience: 5 years in nonprofit fundraising or related marketing, development, and promotional experience Technical: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe, navigation of all Social Media Platforms Other: Possesses good decision-making problem-solving skills and takes initiative · Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and is a team player Can work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
