The Office of Marketing and Communications is hiring a newsletter editor intern to keep parents and alumni informed, engaged, and connected to Carthage!
Under the direction of the assistant director of web content, you will prepare monthly e-newsletters to parents of current students (over 6,000 subscribers) and to Carthage alumni (over 14,000 subscribers).

Responsibilities include: Gathering content from offices across campus
Editing stories and publishing stories to the Carthage website
Brainstorming and creating stories that engage readers
Formatting newsletters in our newsletter platform
Writing short summaries for featured stories
Conducting newsletter surveys to determine subscriber interest
Sending newsletter analysis reports
Skills include: Strong experience in writing and editing
Ability to work under firm deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Desire to learn more about digital marketing and communication
Graphic design experience is a plus, but not required
Note: We seek an intern for at least a year. You must be able to work over the summer break and J-Term, either in person or virtually, and in person during the 2024-25 fall and spring semesters.
Hours: The position starts at 5 hours per week, with the potential for more hours the week newsletters are published.
