Job summary
Provide administrative support to the SOU 2 District OfficePrimary responsibilities include answering calls, managing inventory, purchasing supplies, composing correspondence, and maintaining recordsAbility to perform difficult clerical tasks and handle confidential matters
Job seniority: entry level
Responsibilities
• Answer telephone calls and refer callers to appropriate agency personnel• Receive and read incoming correspondence• Manage fleet, office supply purchasing, and equipment inventory and purchasing• Compose correspondence requiring attention to detail• Take notes of telephone conversations and transmit orders to department personnel• Establish and maintain files, and keep personnel, statistical, and financial records• Make travel arrangements and obtain documents, files, and background information• Procure supplies, equipment, and maintenance services• Perform difficult clerical tasks and handle confidential matters• Perform related work as required
Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent• Six (6) months of directly related experience in office administration
Key Skills Needed
• Inventory control• Purchasing• Records keeping• Maintaining confidential records/information
