Responsibilities
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct occupational therapy services• Review and interpret occupational therapy policies and procedures• Assist in discharge planning and resident care plans• Develop and maintain occupational therapy standards• Ensure therapy services are coded accurately for billing• Maintain treatment records and progress notes• Participate in quality assurance program for occupational therapy services• Assist in developing and implementing corrective actions• Coordinate with other departments and personnel• Provide guidance, training, and supervision for occupational therapy personnel
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy• Experience in therapy capacity in a medical facility• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an Occupational Therapist• Ability to make independent decisions• Knowledge of occupational therapy procedures• Leadership and supervisory ability• Ability to plan, organize, develop, and interpret occupational therapy programs• Ability to maintain supplies and equipment• Willingness to seek out new methods and principles• Ability to relate information regarding resident's condition
