We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at our Emporia PACE Center. Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages and provide holistic care within the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Your primary goal will be to assess patients' physical and mental capabilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and guide them through therapeutic activities to enhance their quality of life.
Midland Care's Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a not-for-profit health care program that helps people at risk for needing nursing home care who meet a level of care requirement stay in their own homes and communities. For Midland Care PACE participants, PACE means a team of experienced doctors, nurses and other health care professionals getting to know the participant and working with him or her to design a plan to aid in achieving health goals.
Employment Status: Full-time | Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: starting at $40/hour (salary is based on requirements and like experience)
$3,000 sign on Bonus for Full-time Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments to identify participants' strengths, limitations, and goals.Develop personalized treatment plans that address participants' specific needs and goals.Implement and modify treatment interventions to improve participants' daily living skills, mobility, and independence.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care planning for participants.Document and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participants' progress and treatment plans.Provide education and guidance to participants, their families, and caregivers regarding adaptive techniques, equipment, and strategies to maximize functional abilities.Stay current with latest research, techniques, and evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards in accordance with state regulations and guidelines.Here are a few reasons to work for Midland… Health, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug PlansEmployee Assistance ProgramPTO, Personal Days, Taking Care of You Days6 paid holidays403b with matchFree group life and AD&D Life Insurance of $20,000Company discounts for regional restaurants and attractionsOn-site education center to provide professional development and CEU creditsOn demand pay (any day can be pay day)Uniform Allowance ProvidedQualifications Required: Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Kansas State license to practice as an occupational therapist in compliance with Kansas State board of healing arts. Must possess a valid Kansas Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by Midland policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position. Have 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or, if the individual has less than 1 year of experience but meets all other requirements of this section, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization on working with a frail or elderly population upon hiring.
