Job summary
Conduct respirator fit-testing and support the Christiana Care Respiratory Protection Program.Perform other safety and industrial hygiene technical duties as assigned.Work hours are Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:30 pm with occasional weekend shift.

Responsibilities
• Conduct respirator fit-testing for individual units/departments to support compliance with OSHA standards.• Maintain Christiana Care's fit-testing equipment, perform daily maintenance, checks, and coordinate repair as needed.• Maintain the database of fit-testing results.• Perform monthly respirator inspections.• Perform monthly industrial hygiene equipment calibrations and maintain associated documentation.• Perform other safety and industrial hygiene duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High School graduate.• Two years' experience in a customer service environment.• Basic knowledge of computer operation including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access databases.• Ability to operate and troubleshoot simple electronic equipment.• Good communication skills and ability to interact with caregivers at all levels within the organization.• Good organizational skills required, ability to develop schedules and follow them.• Ability to coordinate all aspects of a program.• Current Driver's License and acceptable motor vehicle record.• Physical demands include walking, standing, lifting (up to 30 lb.), and sitting.• Working conditions include clinical and support areas within the hospital interior, some travel between hospitals, exposure to normal healthcare and office environments, and varying shifts as needed to fit-test staff on each shift.
