Responsibilities
• Provide supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department, other patient care areas, and the hospital for night shifts• Act as a managerial and clinical link between the nurse manager, department directors, and the administrator-on-call• Assist physicians and staff in assigning admission status• Knowledge of Utilization Review rules and regulations• Manage teams with clinical and educational support• Participate in a Nursing Council based on shared governance and evidence-based practice• Offer internal leadership and clinical education• Provide real career advancement opportunities• Offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing• Specialty certification preferred• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina• Minimum of one year of supervisory experience preferred• Sound leadership skills• Basic knowledge of treatment procedures and interventions• Familiarity with psychopharmacy and psychotropic medications• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills• Excellent written and oral communication skills
