Responsibilities
• Provides direct patient care including obtaining patient history, performing patient assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies• Performs preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care• Manages health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral• Provides counseling and education to patients and families/caregivers• Monitors/ensures accuracy of patient medical records and maintains required reports• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients/families• Provides management services for clinical research study projects• Works in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures• Participates in quality improvement activities• Enhances professional growth and development
Requirements
• Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program• Current certification in patient care field and required specialty• Advanced Practical Nurse licensure or ability to obtain licensure within three months of hire• Basic Life Support certification
