To meet the government's requirements as a Nurse Practitioner, you will be required an estimated 95% of your time dedicated to direct patient care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, hospitalists, and intensivists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Collaboration and communication are integral to our approach, fostering a supportive and cohesive work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for providing Family Practice and Interventional Family Practice consultative services, including assessment, diagnostic work-up, clinic intervention, and patient education. Your responsibilities will encompass both scheduled and unscheduled appointments, allowing for a diverse and rewarding patient population. You will also perform other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience within the last five years.

Performing physical exams, diagnosing, ordering diagnostic tests and referral consultations, prescribing medication, treating diseases and other health conditions. Experience with clinical appointments Follow up and interpretation of Labs/Imaging/Procedures ordered during appointments (patient encounter) Collaborative phone call consultations with hospitalists and intensivists Performing case reviews with nurse practitioners on service Providing family practice and interventional family practice consultative services for assessment, diagnostic workup clinic intervention, comprehensive patient assessment, health history, and patient education to outpatients scheduled and unscheduled veterans. Recording/documenting health appraisal information, clinical assessments, treatment decisions, plan of care, ongoing management, and therapeutic outcomes Using electronic comprehensive patient record system (CPRS) Experience Preferences: Experience working with veteran patients of all ages Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 35+ lbs., per OSHA recommendations
Education Requirements: VHA-approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or equivalency Family Practice Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association™ Board certified by the ANC Current unencumbered license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
