Job summary
ChristianaCare is seeking a Physician Assistant or Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care to join Christiana Pediatric Hospitalists (CPH).The APC will work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure safe care and seamless transitions.Our practice cares for children in the inpatient setting and provides consultative services to the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities
• Provides medical care to newborn and pediatric patients, managing admissions, hospital stays, and discharges.• Prepares patients and families for discharge, including providing family education.• Performs consultations on patients in the Emergency Department or inpatient setting.• Collaborates with physicians, subspecialists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.• Follows departmental and unit-based policies and procedures.
Requirements
• Completion of a master's degree program and board certification as a Certified Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.• License or license eligible as a CNPAC or Physician Assistant in the State of Delaware and Maryland.• Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred.• Prescriptive authority, DEA registration, and BLS required.
