North Carolina Special Education Teacher

Position Overview: As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and implementing individualized instructional programs that empower students to reach their full academic potential in a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and provide recommendations for curriculum adjustments and necessary accommodations.
Foster positive and open communication with parents/caregivers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and actively involving them in the educational process.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong ability to develop and execute individualized educational plans.
Proficiency in conducting ongoing assessments and making data-driven recommendations.
Excellent communication skills to maintain professional relationships with parents/caregivers.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to IEP meetings.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
State certification or licensure required (e.g., North Carolina state license).
At least 2 years of experience in a school setting, with early childhood experience preferred.
Must possess all necessary clearances to work in public/charter schools.
