Responsibilities
• Demonstrates and adheres to all safety policies and procedures• Completes safety orientation and forklift certification training• Completes behavior-based Safety and Quality audits monthly• Understands the extrusion process and product specifications• Handles Contamination free final product through NGR machine• Handles standard Remill scrap for NGR• Enters and reviews key pellet properties and SOC's in Quality Windows• Monitors and reviews data of QW SOC and pellet weight measurement• Operates within the guidelines of FIFO, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing practices• Has general knowledge of NGR extruder temperature profile and its impact on quality/process• Maintains labeling and packaging supplies• Assists in training new-hires• Ensures finished product is within customer specifications• Verifies and signs test data sheets• Completes documentation in line log and other line paperwork• Labels and packages outgoing product according to customer specifications• Maintains housekeeping and 5S of the line and adjacent areas• Performs minor and preventative maintenance on the line• Communicates problems experienced on the line to supervisors• Learns various machine operations and procedures• Completes job task checklists within first 90 days of employment
Requirements
• H.S. Diploma or GED• Manufacturing experience preferred• Ability to work in a plant environment• Manual dexterity and physical capabilities• Pass pre-employment aptitude test
