Job Description SummaryIn this role you will be the Engineering Systems Leader for a key advanced military program guiding a cross functional team to achieve the desired outcomes of our customer. The Senior Staff Engineer for the Advanced Programs Systems Engineering team will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives while driving demonstration of key advanced military technology.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesManage scope, schedules, coordination, and execution of the technology demonstrationCoordinate with customer on technical requirementsLead cross functional teams in the execution of the programLead and provide key technical direction on this projectAssure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needsRespond to request for proposals and request for information from external customersFacilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within the work groupEffectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE customersCommunicate with management on technical, financial and programmatic issues.Ensure proper documentation of technical effortsRequired QualificationsBachelor degree in Engineering from accredited university or collegeMinimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and/or technical program management role.Existing DoD Security Secret ClearanceDesired CharacteristicsMinimum of 8 years of experience in engineering and/or technical program management role.Knowledge of Lean processes and program management skillsExperience working with DoD customer and processesExperience working early TRL programsUnderstanding of the military technology needs and future product landscapeDemonstrated ability to document, plan, market, and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the businessExperience with the DoD acquisition processStrong communication skillsDemonstrated experience working with and presenting to customersWriting of proposals and business development activitiesThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
