Responsibilities
• Providing direction on the day-to-day planning and organizing of team members' work, valuations and professional growth• High-level, in-depth technical capacity in core areas of responsibility• Provides expert level support in resolving complex wired and wireless network problems• Advanced technical knowledge to assist others in resolving service incidents and requests• Oversee and lead Disaster Recovery planning, testing, implementation, and documentation• Formulate and maintain strategic technology contacts and partnerships• Planning, cost containment, configuration, optimization, maintenance, security, and implementation of technologies• Attending provisioning meetings, installing configurations, and obtaining customer acceptance• Consulting with senior-level decision-makers to develop long-range strategic alternatives• Other duties as assigned, including On-Call responsibilities
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience for management roles• Preferred experience, skills, training/education listed
Key Skills Needed
• Host-to-host communications• Hands-on network engineering experience• Knowledge and experience with TCP/IP• Proficiency with IT construction standards, fiber optics, and Ethernet cabling• Experience in network management and monitoring solutions• Strong understanding and experience with LAN hardware and troubleshooting techniques• CCNA and/or CCNP certifications• Management of highly complex short and long-term projects• Highly self-motivated and detailed• Excellent communication and documentation skills• Team-oriented and skilled in collaboration
