QTEC Aerospace is seeking a NETWORK ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government in support of a Missile Defense System (MDS) with a mission of protecting the United States and our allies. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.
Job Summary QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The successful candidate will be a primary Network Engineer leading projects and supporting a large multi-contractor program.
Job Duties/Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
Responsible for providing technical support and expertise for the assessment of compliance of information systems with DoD RMF standards (review, verify and validate required DoD IA RMF documentations and artifacts using DoDI 8510.01/DoD Risk Management Framework) Some travel may be required This position is full-time onsite; it has no remote capability Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor degree with at least 5 years of experience or equivalent; or an advanced degree and at least 3 years' experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Candidate must have proven experience in developing Cyber-secure Network device configurations (Firewalls, switches, routers) Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on Mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies An expert understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF Proven network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting experience Firewall experience with Juniper firewalls Experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs Hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment Understanding of standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts Familiar with RMF including hands on work with RMF topics, the assessment of compliance of information systems with DoD RMF standards (review, verify and validate required DoD IA RMF documentations and artifacts using DoDI 8510.01/DoD Risk Management Framework). Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers as well as independently on large field projects Must have experience using the Agile Framework or experience applying Agile fundamentals in engineer-focused work Industry vendor certifications from Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed Self-motivated and customer-oriented Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Firewall experience with McAfee Sidewinder or Fortinet Fortigate A solid understanding of JUNOS Knowledge, skill sets or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (such as Wireshark) Industry vendor certifications from Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) Experience in the Authentication & encryption methods/capabilities (TACACS+, Active Directory, GEM-X), Virtualization technologies such as VMWare vCenter and vSphere. Security Clearance Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
Salary Range $120,000 - $183,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
