ROLE SUMMARYWe seek a highly-skilled and customer-focused remote NetApp Storage Management Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for supporting NetApp storage solutions for our customer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in NetApp storage technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in both a remote and in-person environment. A strong background and experience with NetApp's core technologies, ONTAP, automation, and good clear communication skills are required to be successful in this role.
US citizenship is a requirement for this role, as it pertains to the public sector.
AS A NETAPP STORAGE ENGINEER, YOU CAN EXPECT TO HAVE THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:Design, deploy, test and maintain NetApp storage solutions based on client requirements and best practicesCollaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and existing IT infrastructurePerform storage capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization to ensure optimal performance and resource utilizationConfigure and manage storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre ChannelProficient in Data ONTAP and NetApp technologies including SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapManager, etc.Experience in block storageImplement data protection and disaster recovery solutions, including backup and replication technologiesTroubleshoot storage-related issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and disruptionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NetApp storage solutions with other IT infrastructure componentsProvide input and develop documentation for standard operating procedures (SOP)s that result in repeatable processes for installation, setup, and operations of the customer's data storage environmentFollow ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices for change managementStay current on emerging technologies, trends, and innovations in the storage industry, particularly related to NetApp products and solutionsExperience in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, high-quality environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer serviceAbility to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively with other engineers and senior managers in a team environment sharing best practices, meet aggressive goals, and meet high-quality standardsProficient with Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePointExperienced in the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and supportExperienced in routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and softwareTO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU'LL NEED EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting NetApp storage solutions, Ontap and Block skillsBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferredNetApp certification (e.g., NetApp Certified Data Administrator, NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer, NetApp Certified Technology Solutions Professional) preferredExperience with testing and documentationStrong knowledge of storage concepts and technologies, including RAID, SAN, NAS, and storage virtualizationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issuesStrong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team membersSelf-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectivelyExperience with NetApp storage management tools such as OnCommand System Manager and OnCommand Unified Manager – a plusProficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and task orchestration – a plusADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ROLE:Location: Raleigh, NC (25% remote, and 75% onsiteDuration: 3-month remote resident (with potential to up to 6 months)View our benefits information: https://marketing.mytsp.net/tsp-benefitsCandidates must be authorized to work in the United StatesUS citizenship is a requirement for this role, as it pertains to the public sectorWE ARE TSPTSP is award-winning, customer-endorsed, and minority-owned.
