Job Description SummaryThe successful candidate will lead the North America Strategy and Business Growth of the Critical Infrastructure Communications (CIC) portfolio within Grid Automation business line. The candidate will define the strategic market focus & commercial path towards incremental YoY growth by considering factors such as portfolio fit, target segments & customers, go-to-market, and partnerships. They will drive a team of Business Developers & Application Engineers to support executing the growth strategy in a focused manner. The candidate will work within a matrixed organization and with cross-functional stakeholders in the global Product Line, Sales, and other GE business lines to further champion growth of their scope and remove any roadblocks impeding commercial progress.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Understand the 1- 3 yr NAM market (trends, competition landscape, etc) for CIC & define the commercial team's position – unique value proposition, price positioning, etc. Work with Global Product Line to ensure product roadmap is aligned to NAM's growth needs.Act as thought leader on the market and within NAM internal organization: drive appropriate messaging at industry events, and sponsor internal training & champions within GEV to help promote growth of CIC portfolio.Define and drive the business growth strategy to deliver on region's orders & margin target, including Go-to-Market path, how to engage partnerships & alliances, channel, etc.Drive development of healthy opportunity pipeline across the regional sales, and directly with the Business Development team. Help create sales playbooks where relevant, & drive tactics with regional sales directors and channel leader.Support pre- & post- sale customer engagements – directly where needed, or via management of Application Engineering team.Enable orders by removing operational roadblocks via coordination of the right stakeholders (e.g. tendering, PMO, field services, product line, etc)Act as Community leader & role model of growth mindset across the organization.Develop a team of high-performing business development specialists & application engineers with clear goals & focus areas.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalentMinimum 8 years of relevant experience with Infrastructure Communications products in B2B settingMinimum 4 years of sales experienceAbility and willingness to travel up to 40% of the timeDesired Characteristics:Ability to lead people via influence in matrixed organizations; great stakeholder management, can align disparate teams to common goalsProactive self-starter; takes initiative to solve problems & drive change vs waits for others to do soStrategic thinker – can see the big picture and break big tasks into manageable chunks, prioritizing tasks based on estimated impactUnderstanding of product & commercial basics – meaning of market positioning, GTM, value prop, etc.Customer relationships at C-LevelAdditional InformationGE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
