Responsibilities
• Teach a wide range of undergraduate music classes• Teach fifteen credit hours per semester and thirty credit hours per academic year• Flexible teaching assignments, including day, evening, and weekend classes• Possibility to teach summer classes• May be assigned to teach on any campus or center• Coordinate, plan, prepare, present, and evaluate classroom instruction• Participate in committees and professional development activities• May serve as Coordinator of Music degree program• Supervision of ensembles and course releases as needed
Requirements
• Master's degree in music; Doctoral degree preferred• One year of instructional experience at post-secondary level• Two years of professional experience in Music required• Expertise in core music theory and musicianship classes• Ability to use word processing, internet applications, and basic database navigation• Experience with learning management system such as Brightspace Desire 2 Learn• Ability to teach in various formats (face-to-face, web, hybrid)
