Multiphysics Analysis Engineer - TS I in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: Job Title: Multiphysics Analysis Engineer - TS I Thermofluids Analysis Engineer Analytical tools Specialist - TS I in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: *Upcoming (PhD) graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to beginning employment.
The Thermofluids/Multiphysics Analysis team provides engineering support for multiphysics problems across all Gulfstream programs. In this position, you will work in a team of experienced engineers to solve complex analytical problems on all Gulfstream programs. You will collaborate with senior engineers to build models and simulations for thermal and fluid systems throughout the airplane. You will support flight and lab testing organizations and analyze test data. You will support aircraft certification activity.
We are seeking a 0d/1d/CFD/FEA specialist with experience building and solving complex multiphysics problems using advanced modeling techniques.
Thermofluids/Multiphysics analysis group activities and responsibilities include:
Ventilation and cooling certification Ice protection systems analysis and certification Lightning Strike analytical modeling Acoustic assessment ECS / pneumatic system modeling and analysis Airplane exhaust plumes analysis / test support Fire testing support Vibration modeling and testing Special missions support/analysis, including equipment rack design / layout, liquid cooling systems analysis, etc... Experience using CFD and 1D modeling and simulation tools required
Experience with modeling thermal and fluid systems using ID or 3D techniques required
Proficiency with STAR-CCM+/Amesim/Rhino/NX/CATIA preferred
Coding skills: Python/Matlab/C++/C#/VBA/Java.
Education and Experience Requirements Open to Spring 2024 PhD graduates with 3 yrs prior industry experience/internships or MSc Students with at least 5 yrs experience/internships.
Position Purpose: Develops tools and methods, explores alternative analytical patterns, proactively suggests engineering solutions, assists with the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services
Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 ys in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job. Position Purpose :

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: Contributes to planning, developing and coordinating of important engineering projects . Provides specialized technical assistance to team members . Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems . Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives . Works under limited supervision; work should only be required. to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives . Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area .
Additional Functions: Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements . Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product .
Perform other duties as assigned.
