Min Hourly Rate $14.20 (Standard); $13.20 (Non-Urban); $15.45 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to hire one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours) Multimedia and Communications Administration Assistant position to provide project support for multimedia, communications, and administrative functions at Oregon State University (OSU). Decision Support is the central university organization responsible for providing access to actionable and accurate information by leading the OSU community to organize, strengthen, and advance institutional reporting, analytics, and data literacy across the University. This position will assist in delivering high-quality training materials, communications tools, website development, and other data education and engagement-related activities. This includes video and web content editing, organizing and presenting information effectively and maintaining and updating internal and external facing websites. This position will also provide administrative office support as necessary. Day to day this work includes activities such as editing meeting and training videos, creating initial drafts of communications aimed at wide audiences and developing and updating Decision Support's various websites and SharePoint offerings. Position Duties 40% Web Work and Communications Update internal-facing SharePoint sites Liaise with the Business Architecture team to consolidate IAR/Data Team web presence Ensure messaging consistency across multiple information channels including websites Create initial drafts of communications for various data-related programs, events etc. Edit and write documentation on website development and workflow 40% Multimedia Services Edit and publish recordings from hybrid meetings and training sessions using video and photo editing software Assist in the production of training videos 20% Project and Administrative Support Assist professional staff members with tasks related to web design, web content curation, multimedia presentations, communications, etc. as needed General administrative assistance such as scheduling meetings, editing documents, etc. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications Strong business written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail, especially in written or technical environments Able to consistently work at least 10 hours/week while taking classes Able to work shifts between 8 am and 5 pm Pacific Standard Time on days between Monday and Friday Ability to maintain self-directed work, stay on schedule and meet deadlines in a timely and professional manner and engage in ongoing and proactive review and prioritization of work Demonstratable experience with video editing Effective communication and time management skills when dealing with multiple projects Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word Ability to work in person when needed Collaborate with team members and supervisor to create effective and appealing end products and participate in team meetings and work planning activities This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard ******** et seq.
