We're seeking a passionate and results-oriented individual to join our Technical Operations team as an MS SQL Server Database Administrator. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in supporting our global data centers, ensuring the seamless operation of our MSSQL databases, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our database infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support for production databases across global data centers
Manage MSSQL database replication and clustering
Monitor database performance, tuning, and backup/recovery processes
Troubleshoot database issues to maintain high availability
Develop database tools and automation solutions to streamline tasks
Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation
Adhere to change management processes for all production changes
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL DBA in production environments
Proficiency in Windows Server environments
Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services
Knowledge of Powershell and Python scripting
Experience with cloud services such as GCP and AWS
Proficiency in SQL Server Replications and Windows clusters management
Strong understanding of MS SQL Server backup/restore recovery models
Experience with SQL Server user management and operational automation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong documentation skills for processes and procedures
Desired Skills:
Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases
Background in database development
Familiarity with GitOps/CI/CD processes
This role offers full remote work for candidates residing at least 50 miles away from our San Francisco or San Ramon office locations. For those within the 50-mile radius, a hybrid work arrangement is available.
