In this role, you'll play a vital part in guiding borrowers through the loan application process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering positive relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with loan applications from inception to completion.
- Evaluate loan applications to determine borrower creditworthiness.
- Negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients in a professional manner.
- Analyze financial information to assess borrower repayment capabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the loan application journey.
- Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with various professionals involved in the loan process.
- Stay updated on market trends, products, and regulatory changes in mortgage lending.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong understanding of loan origination processes.
- Proficiency in 10-key typing and data entry.
- Familiarity with FNMA guidelines and escrow procedures.
- Excellent mathematical skills for financial calculations.
- Experience with accounting software for financial analysis.
- Knowledge of mortgage servicing practices.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex financial information.
- Sales-oriented with a focus on meeting targets and deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible schedule available)
Experience Required:
- Loan origination: 1 year (Preferred)
- Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification Required:
- NMLS NUMBER
- MLO License
