Job Title: Mold Polisher

Responsibilities:
Mold Finishing: Execute manual polishing, grinding, and finishing operations on molds to attain the desired surface quality and texture. Surface Preparation: Prepare mold surfaces for polishing by eliminating imperfections, burrs, and irregularities using appropriate tools and techniques. Polishing Techniques: Employ a range of polishing tools, abrasives, compounds, and equipment to achieve the required surface finish, encompassing high-gloss, matte, and textured finishes. Quality Control: Inspect molds throughout the polishing process to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards, including dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness. Material Knowledge: Demonstrate an understanding of the properties of diverse mold materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastics) and select suitable polishing methods and abrasives accordingly. Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines when operating polishing equipment and handling hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with mold designers, engineers, and production personnel to resolve any polishing-related issues and enhance mold performance. Requirements:
Experience: Proven track record as a Mold Polisher or similar role in a manufacturing environment, supported by a robust portfolio showcasing proficiency in manual polishing techniques. Skills: Exceptional hand-eye coordination, keen attention to detail, and adept manual dexterity. Proficiency in utilizing polishing tools and equipment such as sanders, grinders, buffing wheels, and polishing compounds. Knowledge: Familiarity with different mold materials, surface finishes, and polishing methods. Understanding of geometric tolerances and proficiency in blueprint reading. Safety Consciousness: Dedication to upholding a safe work environment and adherence to established safety procedures. Knowledge of handling chemicals and hazardous materials safely.
