We provide a BRAND NEW mobile service unit for outside service calls. No heavy diagnostics, no heavy engine work, no heavy transmission work, etc. As a mobile technician at Asheville Ford you are responsible for handling recalls, light duty repair and preventive maintenance of customer vehicles through the following activities:Completing recalls per manufactures technical instructionsComplete preventative maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, etcPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and proceduresTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services neededProvide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecuting repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsKeep equipment in pristine condition by following operating and safety instructions at all times.Update job and product knowledge as required by the manufacturer.All other duties assigned.Qualifications2+ years of Service Technician experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalentB level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine RepairDexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordinationMechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentExcellent customer service skills and basic computer competenciesPositive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improveEnjoy working in a dynamic environmentTeammate with ability to collaborate with others effectivelyAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsValid driver's license and clean driving recordAsheville Ford Lincoln is apart of a large Automotive Group called Krause Auto.
