Kidd OperationsTimminsCanadaPosition OverviewReporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, the incumbent is responsible for providing equipment availability in a safe, cost, effective and timely manner. The incumbent is responsible to ensure that all employees working under them work safely and efficiently. They are responsible for carrying out the planned maintenance set before them by the mobile maintenance process owner in a mutually agreed upon time frame, as well as coordinate with the production department to address breakdowns.Additional accountabilities includePromoting of IRS & ensures health, safety and environmental priorities are met, which can include monthly beat inspections, monthly crew meetings, and monthly supervisor meetingsSupervise the business unit's mobile maintenance activities by optimizing material, labour and equipment use to achieve or exceed quality and production targets as well as financial objectives (cost control and reduction)Supervise, direct and coach employees to ensure their maximum performance, identify and meet training needs pertaining to their job, health and safety and the environmentWork with all supervisors to ensure maximum performance and efficiencyPerform all shift administrative duties (reports, time sheets, training, etc.)Review production, quality control, maintenance, down time and statistical reports and work orders to optimally plan own activitiesIdentify, recommend and/or implement changes designed to improve procedures, equipment performance, working conditions and product quality to maximize the unit's efficiencyEnsure employees comply with company with Company rules, policies, programs and procedures and health, safety and environmental legislationQualificationsThe ideal candidates mustBe a certified tradesperson preferably in the heavy equipment fieldHave strong practical background in all maintenance systems and maintenance planningHave a minimum of grade 12 or equivalent as verified through background checkCritical skills include, leadership, communication, people management and development, follow-up and control, ingenuity, creativity, strategic thinking, and business senseKidd Operations is offering a generous retention bonus as part of our comprehensive benefits and bonus package, designed to recognize and reward the ongoing dedication and contributions of our team members.Candidates must ensure that progressive, sustainable improvements within the department are consistent with business priorities and our health, safety, environmental and community policies.Kidd Operations is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information.
