Job Location: 100% Remote

Job Duration: 8 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $38.63/hr to $39.63/hr

Overtime: 2 hrs/ per week (Not going to be working a lot of OT, but allocated just in case it is needed)

Job Description:
The Content Platform team is looking for a Mobile Software Development Engineer.
Will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications.
Your solutions will impact our customers directly!
Primary responsibilities: Developing monitoring solutions
Troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA)
Performing SQL queries
Improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
Responsibilities also include working alongside development on client Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.
Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications.
They must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, are able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure.
Preferred coding skills: Perl, C/C++ and/or Java.
Other desired technical skills include Typescript, mySQL, AWS, React, NextJS, HTML.
Story Behind the Need - Business Group & Key Projects: Relatively smaller team. HM has a group of 3 under him
Support 3-4 mid-sized large tools (React, AWS tool, RUBYs tool)
Need flexibility, someone who will be able to adapt to constant change. This is a smaller team that supports a business group.
HM is looking for MOBILE DEVELOPER (Looking for at least ONE contractor out of 3 open positions to have a mobile developer background/experience)
One candidate would be supporting: maintenance activities alongside the new feature-built team member.
Another candidate would help build the ap sheet application.
QA Experience if possible
Basic qualifications: SQL, PYTHON EXPERIENCE.
Purpose for request: FLOA, as well as adding significant advancements in their team.
Typical Day in the Role: HM is very hands on - has weekly sprint calls.
Prioritized lists from HM in terms of what they would like candidate to work on.
To view high level priorities as well as backlog.
Outline is planned as well as weekly replanning in sprints and daily discussions.
Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition: High transferability of skills to transfer to other platforms
Use legacy systems (Rubys)
Being able to interface with customers; being able to see the impacts of your work.
Team is currently undergoing the effort across all DEV groups to combine teams as well as combine and consolidate the tools. The tool they will be working on will be a foundational piece in that.
Leadership Principle: Customer obsession: understanding the needs of the customer
Years of experience required: A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
We are looking for one of the developers to have Mobile (iOS and/or Android) development experience in addition to these and we are looking for the other to have QA (Quality Assurance) experience (i.e. developing unit tests and integration testing frameworks.)
Even though we are looking for L4s, ideally we would like them to have some experience. An added bonus is if any of these people have experience with developing offline applications.
